How mobile information is used for OrganAlert text messages.

1. Scope

This policy applies to OrganAlert text messages: secure links to shared dashboards that a clinician chooses to send, and one-time verification codes. It covers registered OrganAlert users who opt in under Settings → Text messages, and people whose US mobile number a clinician enters to text them a shared dashboard link. Read it with our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms. Texting is optional.

2. Information and purposes

When you opt in, we keep your mobile number (encrypted), a record of the consent you gave (the wording, when, and the browser used), whether the number is verified, and delivery and opt-out records. When a clinician texts a link to a number they enter, we keep only a keyed fingerprint of that number with the delivery record, not the number itself. We and our messaging provider use this information only to send these texts, verify numbers, provide support, prevent abuse, and honor opt-outs.

3. No sale or sharing of mobile numbers or consent

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or other mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent, buy, or transfer text-message opt-in data or consent, and we do not allow another business to use it to send its own messages.

We may disclose mobile numbers and necessary messaging information to service providers, including Twilio and delivery partners, solely to operate and support OrganAlert messaging, apply opt-out choices, or meet legal obligations. Such providers are not authorized to use that information for their own marketing. General disclosure provisions elsewhere in our policies do not authorize marketing use or transfer of text-message consent.

4. What texts contain

Texts never include patient information or patient identifiers, only a link or a code. A shared dashboard link opens a HIPAA notice first; the dashboard is shown only after the notice is accepted. Do not forward a link you received, do not share a verification code, and do not send clinical information by replying.

Texts can be delayed, shown on a locked screen, or seen by someone with access to your phone or a later owner of your number. OrganAlert cannot control carriers or devices. If your number changes, turn texts off or add the new number in Settings → Text messages.

5. Your choices

Reply STOP to any OrganAlert text to opt out, or turn texts off in Settings → Text messages. Reply HELP for help, or email viraj@organalert.com without clinical information. After you reply STOP, no one can text your number through OrganAlert until you reply START; account holders also turn texts back on in Settings with a new verification code. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

6. Retention

Consent, verification, delivery, and opt-out records are kept as needed to show consent, meet legal obligations, and prevent unwanted messages, under our retention schedule. OrganAlert does not store the text of messages, and we ask our messaging provider to discard it after delivery; carriers and devices may keep their own copies.

7. Contact and changes

Contact Viraj at viraj@organalert.com for messaging privacy requests. Do not email clinical information. Updates will be published with a revised date; changes do not authorize unrelated messages without the required consent.
